SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A South Bend Police officer jumped into action, earlier this week, saving a life in the SBPD lobby.
Community Resource Officer, Brian Meador, was working at his desk when a panicked couple and their child entered the South Bend Police Department's lobby, stating they needed help.
According to SBPD's Facebook post, the couple was driving to the hospital when their child became unresponsive near the police department.
Officer Meador, without hesitation, began performing chest compressions on the child until medics arrived.
The family tells SBPD that their child is continuing to recover and they're grateful for Officer's Meador's swift medical assistance.
