South Bend man sentenced to 14 years for string of armed robberies

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man has been sentenced to over 14 years in federal prison for several armed robberies that happened in 2021, according to the US Attorney's Office.

Quadre Gavin, 20, pleaded guilty to six counts of Hobbs Act robbery and a count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. He was sentenced to 14 years and 3 months in prison and two years supervised release.

Gavin was accused of seven armed robberies of convenience stores and a gas station in South Bend and Mishawaka in September and October of 2021.
