South Bend man sentenced over a decade for intent to distribute meth

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A 49-year-old South Bend man will spend more than 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to distributing meth.

The United States Attorney’s Office Northern District of Indiana announced on April 14, Clyton Morgan was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in prison after pleading guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute 500 grams or More of a Substance Containing Methamphetamine.

Morgan was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

Court documents reveal Morgan sold around 512 grams of meth to another person on two occasions.

Police then obtained and executed a search warrant at Morgan's home where authorities located additional 581 grams of meth.

Documents state Morgan was serving a term of supervised release from a previous federal felony conviction for drug distribution.
