UPDATE: Suspect arrested in shooting on Miami Street at GoLo gas station
St. Joseph County Jail UPDATE TWO: A 48-year-old suspect has been charged in the GoLo gas station shooting, according to the South Bend Police Department.
Manuel Moncayo III, the 48-year-old, was allegedly identified as the suspect through officers' investigations, and he was taken into custody on Monday. Moncayo is now being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
Moncayo has been charged with Attempted Murder as a Level 1 Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon as a Level 4 Felony, and Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon as a Level 5 Felony.
Additionally, the department confirmed that the male victim with non-life-threatening injuries had an apparent gunshot wound.
UPDATE: Police say the victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.
ORIGINAL CONTENT: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating a shooting in the 1900 block of Miami Street at the GoLo gas station.
Police say one victim was taken to the hospital the status of their injuries is unknown at this time.
