South Bend Fire Department responds to two-story commercial fire

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Fire crews from the South Bend Fire Department reported to a commercial fire on Riverside Drive.

Seven fire engines and two aerials were dispatched at approximately 2:55 p.m. on Feb. 15 to a two-story commercial fire at 1683 N. Riverside Drive.

Upon arrival fire crews discovered the fire had been extinguished by maintenance personnel.

One occupant was in the structure at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

A preliminary investigation showed the fire had originated within a clothes dryer.
