SOUTH BEND — Hundreds of fans gathered at Washington High School to board buses headed for Chicago. The fans gathered together to see Skylar Diggins play in a WNBA game.
This is the closest game to Michiana since Diggins joined the Tulsa Shock.
The trip was organized by Diggins's cousin. She says they're excited to go on the trip.
"We do plan on doing several more trips in the future," said Sanita Davis, Diggins's cousin. "We will be going on June 28 to go and support her in Indianapolis. And there is plans for a Tulsa Oklahoma trip as well."
Three buses pulled out of Diggins's alma mater around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The game started at 6 p.m.
