SOUTH BEND, Ind. – After years of planning and construction, the City of South Bend is officially opening the doors to its brand-new City Hall to the public on Monday. Entering a new era at 215 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the former SBCSC headquarters. 

The new facility will serve as a central hub for city services, offering residents a modern space to take care of city business.

The city’s new customer service center will be located in the main lobby, aiming to provide quick and convenient assistance. 

Upstairs, a new City Council Chambers can seat 70 people. While the space will begin hosting City Council and other public meetings next month, meetings will continue at the County-City Building through the end of October. Residents are being encouraged to check meeting notices for the correct location. 

The new facility consolidates multiple city departments all under one roof. 

Monday’s grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am to celebrate the city’s first new City Hall in decades.
