South Bend accepting applications for lamppost lighting program

The city of South Bend is accepting applications for the 2021 lamppost lighting program. The cost-share program enables residents to install solar powered lampposts in their front yards.

The cost to the homeowners is dependent on their location in the city. If you are within the targeted area, your cost is just 10% of the cost of the lamppost - $50. If you are outside the targeted area, you pay half the cost of the lamppost - $250.

Applications are being accepted through June 30.
