SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Schools new CFO Ahnaf Tahmid who took over for Kareemah Fowler in the fall shared the numbers for the Brown Community Learning Center.
Ahnaf Tahmid revealed the project is 3 million dollars over budget and contracts being awarded without bids, illegally. The new interim superintendent Mansour Eid says he hopes to bring more transparency.
A private investigation into the project is ongoing and results are expected to be shared at the next board meeting.
