More lake effect snow, and a nasty windchill
Lake Effect Snow returns this evening with strong wind through Thursday. Gusts will top 40 mph and the wind chill will be near zero. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 5PM this evening to 1AM Friday morning. The highest snow totals are expected for Berrien, Cass, and St. Joseph MI counties with +4" of snow. Travel impacts and visibility are the main concerns with this warning. Winds will shift from westerly this afternoon to northwesterly tonight going into Thursday. Plan for winter driving conditions Thursday morning and evening due to slick roads and blowing snow making visibility low. Conditions will begin to clear by Friday and going into the weekend. The chance for rain showers returns Sunday.
Tonight: Lake Effect Snow. Gusty Winds. Low 19.
Tomorrow: Snow Showers and Blowing Snow. High 29.
Friday: Mostly Sunny. High 27.
