Five semitrucks overturned by wind on I-65 Wednesday afternoon
We'll see glimpses of sunshine today in between abundant cloud cover overhead. Highs don't make it past freezing today, a trend our area will become more familiar with over the next 5-6 days. With winds in the double digits most of today and tonight, wind chills will place closer to the teens and low 20s. A light dose of snow arrives late, mainly staying to our south. As the system leaves our vicinity, it'll change our wind direction and likely trigger lake effect snow showers Friday morning and early afternoon. The weekend is cloudy and cold but mostly quiet. We are still watching a for a potential winter storm to pass south of Michiana on Monday next week, although the path of that system is looking more likely to cause another round of lake effect. If winter did not feel like it was "here" before, it certainly is now.
Today: Mostly cloudy. High 31.
Tonight: Snow showers. Low 22.
Friday: AM snow showers. High 25.
Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 22.
