Light rain with wet snow mixed in will continue through the afternoon and evening hours. As temperatures continue to fall overnight and gusty winds continue, lake effect snow will take over and last through the first half of Sunday. Sunday will be cold as well. With wind gusts exceeding 30 mph, wind chill values will likely be in the teens or colder. Snow will taper off by Sunday afternoon. Snowfall accumulations of 1-3 inches are likely for Northern IN and SW Michigan counties. An inch or less are expected for southern Michiana counties.

Things quiet down and skies brighten on Monday as high pressure moves in. Warmer air also arrives to start the week, allowing highs to reach the upper 30s and low 40s through Tuesday. Active weather returns midweek, with another chance of mixed precipitation. Temperatures drop off into the weekend, back in the 20s and 30s.
