After several days of comfortable, spring-like weather, winter has returned! So much so, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 1AM SUN - 1PM MON for the following counties: Berrien, Cass, LaPorte and St. Joseph, IN counties.

Widespread snow showers arrive overnight into Sunday morning. Morning lows will fall to the 20s, with highs only reaching the 30s. Snow and breezy conditions are expected to last through Sunday. By Sunday night, lake effect will take over and will bring greater impacts. Lake effect will last through Monday morning, tapering off soon after.

Most of the viewing areas will receive an inch or more of snowfall—3+ inches are possible for areas closer to the lake shore. The Monday morning commute will be slick.

Temperatures do increase by midweek, but warmer air welcomes another chance of mixed precipitation on Wednesday. Above average temperatures continue through the weekend.

Tonight: Snow begins, breezy. Low 26.

Sunday: Lake effect snow through the day, windy. High 30

Monday: AM LE snow, blustery. High 27.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, breezy. High 36.
