Single-vehicle crash leaves one injured in Cass County Saturday

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - Deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle roll-over crash on Yankee Street near Wolfe Street in Cass County's Howard Township around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday.

Investigation of the crash showed that a SUV, driven by an 18-year-old Edwardsburg man, left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned, according to officials.

The driver was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital via SMACS Ambulance for minor injuries sustained in the crash.

Police believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash.

Assisting on scene was the Howard Township Fire Department.

Officials say the crash remains under investigation.
