CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office responded today at approximately 4:10 p.m. to the report of a single vehicle crash in the area of Calvin Hill Street and Union Road in Calvin Township. 

Their investigation showed that 63-year-old James Eaton of Cassopolis, was southbound on Union Road, with the vehicle traveling to fast for road conditions, causing it to not stop and go across Calvin Hill Street and crash into a ditch.

The passenger in the vehicle, 63-year-old Mary Eaton of Cassopolis, was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
