MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A serious situation involving gunshots unfolded this evening at the University Park Mall in Mishawaka. Sadly, this is the second incident involving shots fired inside the mall in the last four years.
Tonight’s scare reportedly started as a fight which began in a sneaker store. The brawl quickly escalated and spilled over into the center area of the mall.
One bystander that had her hand cut by broken glass during the incident revealed that some shoppers even used the shooting as a looting opportunity, shattering windows and stealing from stores like Pandora.
