Low temperatures bottom out in the mid 70s early this morning, preventing any relief from the heat going into the rest of today. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop in the early afternoon, keeping highs contained to the low 90s today. With excess moisture deposited at the surface from the wet weather, conditions become more humid and many areas will still see heat indices in the upper 90s to around 100F today. More quiet conditions follow up tonight with mostly cloudy skies and lows back in the mid 70s. Temperatures will build from Wednesday onward and we expect to feel close to 100F during the daytime each day through Friday. Any rain chances diminish as well through the rest of the week as the region of high pressure expands west into our area. Confidence is building that Sunday will bring cooler air and rain, essentially ending the heatwave.
Today: Mostly sunny giving way to isolated showers and thunderstorms. High 92.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Low 76.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High 94.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. High 94.
