ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Saturday, August 5th , 2023

Michiana is in store for a very rainy weekend. As a system moves in from the west, expect steady rain all of tonight going into the first half of Sunday. The main threat with this first round is heavy rain and some brief downpours, although the chance for severe storms is still present overnight. Temperatures drop into the low 60s tonight as well, so make sure to pack a light jacket and umbrella for any outdoor plans. Scattered showers will linger into late Sunday morning. A quiet and mostly dry Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the low 80s will be followed up by yet another system of rain and scattered storms. This second round also has the chance to produce some severe storms with heavy rain and gusty winds as the main threat, although the likelihood of severe storms Sunday night is steadily decreasing as of now. Rain carries over from Sunday night into Monday in the form of light, scattered showers, but Michiana should be cleared up by Monday evening with temperatures barely making it past the mid 70s. Tuesday will be the first wholly dry day of the week with temperatures in the high 70s and mostly cloudy skies.

Tonight: Rain. Low 63.

Sunday: Scattered showers, scattered thunderstorms overnight. High 80.

Monday: Scattered showers. High 76.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy. High 79.
