ELKHART, Ind. -- A Barn Boo-Nanza, with toys, bubbles, candy, and costumes, hosted by Loveway, took place today for their third annual Halloween inspired event that offers an inclusive space for kids with all levels of abilities.
Volunteers with other local organizations, including ADEC-Logan and Hall of Heros, provided a free event complete with a photo booth for families to create invaluable memories.
Organizers for the event tell ABC57 that for some families, there aren't a lot of places where they are able to go and create these memories with their children.
"When you have a child with a diagnosed disability, it's not always easy to go out and to participate in things that everyone else is participating in. Not every environment is inclusive for that and Loveway is, you know, that's what we're designed for. That's who we're set up for," stated Executive Director of Loveway Equine Assisted Services Sheole Becker.
Dozens of kids showed up for tonight's Barn Boo-Nanza in Middlebury.
Loveway also stated that whether or not you receive Loveway services, the annual event is open to all families.
