Schmuhl Road bridge to close for maintenance through most of May

ABC 57 BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Schmuhl Road bridge at I-196 is set to close for over three weeks for repairs at the end of April.
According to an announcement from MDOT Thursday, the bridge on Schmuhl Road will close on Thursday, Apr. 30 for bridge maintenance.
The bridge is planned to remain closed until Thursday, May 21. In the meantime, traffic will be detoured on Kerlikowske Road, Red Arrow Highway, and Benton Center Road.
