SBPD offers chance for security upgrades to businesses and non-profits
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department announced applications are now open for businesses and non-profits in the city to receive security upgrade grants through the Sync South Bend Security Grant.
Police say businesses can apply for up to $4,000 for eligible installations like cameras, security infrastructure, or lighting, or up to $2,900 for reimbursement of only a fususCORE.
Officials say a fususCORE enables businesses to integrate their cameras with SBPD's Real-Time Crime Center.
Police say a site visit from South Bend's security vendor and connecting to the Real-Time Crime Center is required for participation in the grant.
There is no deadline to apply, and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
You can visit the Sync South Bend Security Grant website to learn about the grant and apply.
