SBPD Chief Scott Ruszkowski announces candidacy for St. Joseph County Sheriff

ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police Department's Chief of Police, Scott Ruszkowski, announced his intention to run for St. Joseph County Sheriff on Friday.
Current St. Joseph County Sheriff, Bill Redman, is ineligible to run again as he's already served two terms.
Per the SBPD website, Ruszkowski, a US Navy Veteran, joined the department in 1988. Ruszkowski previously worked for the South Bend Streets Department.
Ruszkowski became the Chief of Police on Oct. 1, 2015.
