SBN announces new service to Florida destinations
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Wednesday morning, the South Bend International Airport announced a new airline, Breeze Airways, will now offer nonstop flights to Orlando and Fort Meyers.
With the addition, South Bend is now the second city in Indiana to offer flights with Breeze Airways with Evansville being the other.
"We know that there's a lot of great people in this community, it's a really nice community which again is what Breeze is all about and we see a great opportunity here with South Bend," said Chief Guest Officer of Breeze Airways Fiona Kiesel. "We have an elevated product that we have in our aircraft, and we have seriously nice team members."
Nonstop flights to Orlando will be offered Thursdays and Sundays, starting Nov. 7, and nonstop flights to Fort Meyers will be offered Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Feb. 5, 2025.
"It's a relatively new airline, we are three years old which the great thing about that is that all of our aircraft are brand new. We have a fleet of all airbus A220 aircraft, and again brand new and sparkly, clean and comfortable," said Kiesel.
"A large portion of our aircraft has extra leg room. So, it's not the tight type of cabin that some may be used to. You get more leg room and then we offer bundles for things like bags, flexibility with your fares and other options including Wi-Fi, all of our aircraft have Wi-Fi also."
