South Bend Venues Parks and Arts announce first gallery exhibition
Brittney Richey SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The first fashion art exhibit at the Raclin Murphy Encore Center, named Feeling Blue, will officially open Friday, Feb. 6, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Equity in the Arts Gallery.
The exhibit features designs by Brittney Richey, founder of B. Rich Customs and a self-taught seamstress with a lifelong passion for fashion.
Opening after the Raclin Murphy Encore Center ribbon cutting, the exhibition will run throughout February, with eight wearable art pieces also on display during Morris Performing Arts Center performances.
Richey views clothing as a powerful form of self-expression and is passionate about helping clients embrace their individuality through custom designs that build confidence. Inspired by her five children, Brittney creates fashion with heart—pieces as unique as the people who wear them.
Brittney developed the Feeling Blue theme during a personal low point, uncertain about the future of B. Rich Customs. By embracing the blues—the music, mood, and movement—she shifted her perspective and transformed it into a bold, vibrant, and unapologetic collection. Her designs have appeared in fashion shows at Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, on prom clients, and with Michiana Modeling.
