LAPORTE, Ind. -- Move over Rudolph, Santa has a new guide in town! Welcome to Sandy Acres Clydesdales.
“Oh there feather, they are pretty they are really pretty we have prim here who loves the attention,” says Shelby Zarobinski, Co-Owner of Sandy Acres Clydedales.
In 2006, Shelby and her family owned their first Clydesdales and have been in love ever since! Now, the family farm wants everyone to join in on the fun.
“Growing up we always admired Clydesdales but never interacted with them, so we have opened up the farm about three years ago to do tours so people can get up and learn about them”
‘Christmas with the Clydesdales’ is a way for families of all ages to have an up close and interactive experience with the Clydesdales of sandy acres.
The festivities first kick off with a sleigh ride. Followed by a trip to their barn. There, visitors can pet the Clydesdales and see them closer than ever! For the small children, they have some small animals as well. Kids can pet the miniature donkeys and ponies, too.
But when the hands get chilly and the tummy starts to growl, visitors can warm up with some hot chocolate and cookies!
