Rollover crash leaves man and 11-year-old injured
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover crash around C.R. 10 and C.R.17 on Sunday, around 11:01 p.m.
The report states a 2017 Nissan Altima, driven by 69-year-old Warren Simpson of Bristol, was traveling east on C.R. 10 approaching C.R. 17.
Authorities say that's when the Altima went off the road to the north, rolled over onto its roof, and crashed into the tree line.
The vehicle sustained all over damage.
Simpson was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for complaints of pain to his hand and head.
Simpson's passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital for a complaint of pain in his hand.
Simpson and the boy were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Simpson submitted a blood draw, and results are pending.
