Rochester schools to have eLearning until August 24

The Rochester School Corporation has delayed in-person classes until at least August 24.

The change was due to students "attending end-of-summer celebrations, and a number of exposures to persons testing positive for COVID 19 there and during travels", the district posted on its website.

All athletic practices and games will be suspended until at least August 24. The weight facility has been closed.

Parents can pick up eLearning devices at their student's school building during the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday 8-4-20 from 12:00-4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday 8-5-20 from 7:00-4:00 p.m.

Online classes start Thursday August 6.

The district plans to resume in-class learning and resume fall sports practices on August 24.
