Rochester experiencing mail delays amidst the holiday season

ABC 57 ROCHESTER, Ind. -- Due to mail delays in Rochester, several vendors have not yet received their payments.
After contacting the United States Postal Service, it was determined that all outgoing City mail had been transported to Indianapolis for sorting rather than being sorted locally.
At this time, there is no evidence that any checks have been lost or mishandles, only that they have been delayed. The City of Rochester is actively monitoring the situation.
