Road closure in Chikaming Township to begin soon
BERRIEN COUNTY, Ind. – The Berrien County Road Department has announced that Youngren Road and S Prairie Road in Chikaming Township will be closing the week of February 1st for utility work.
The department states that during these closures new utility poles will be set in the road right-of-way, new lines will also be strung requiring the roads to be closed for the safety of the crews and the public.
Youngren Road near Red Arrow Highway will be closed to thru traffic when work is taking place on Wednesday, February 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
S Prairie Road at Harbert Road will be closed two days from Thursday, February 4th to Friday, February 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The department asks the travelling public to seek alternatives routes or use the established detour until work is completed.
