UPDATE: At approximately 5:15 p.m., the La Porte County Sherriff's Office confirmed westbound lanes of S.R. 2 at C.R. 900 East are now reopened.

ORIGINAL STORY: LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's Office reports westbound lanes of S.R. 2 at C.R. 900 East are closed as of 11:45 a.m., Tuesday due to a three-vehicle crash.

Deputies say the crash involved commercial motor vehicles.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
