UPDATE: EPD said the northbound lanes of S. Nappanee Street have re-opened at W. Mishawaka Road and the intersection has been cleared.

The crash remains under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY: ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department reports the northbound lanes of S. Nappanee Street are closed at W. Mishawaka Road for the foreseeable future due to a crash involving two semi-trucks and a passenger vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

Police are currently investigating the incident.

Authorities say two people were sent to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.

Motorists are asked to avoid this intersection, if possible, and expect travel delays until the vehicles are cleared from the intersection.
