UPDATE TWO: Michigan State Police Niles Post Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash around 6 a.m., Friday, on US 12 near Oak Lane in Milton Township.

Police say a passenger vehicle, driven by a 29-year-old Niles woman, was traveling east on US 12 before crossing the centerline and colliding with a vehicle traveling west.

The 29-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver suffered minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

It's currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors.

The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: Authorities say the scene has cleared.

No other information has been released at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Michigan State Police report they’re currently investigating a crash at US 12 and Oak Lane Friday morning.

The road is being blocked off at Bell Street.
