SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this morning to unveil the newly renovated Pinhook Park in South Bend.

The $1.7 million renovation, funded through the My South Bend Parks & Trails project, includes a new playground, paved parking lot, ADA accessible trails and kayak launch, and a lagoon water quality improvement.

The Park’s Community Center also received a kitchen and flooring upgrade.

“It’s an exciting time for this park with the renovations complete. We’re able to expand our programming and offerings to serve even more of our community,” said Pinhook Community Center Manager, Hannah Teshka. “Pinhook has so many special qualities and I’m eager for visitors to experience it.”
