SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- While many remember the incredible impact Lou Holtz had on the University of Notre Dame and the world of college football, he also made his mark in the world of sports broadcasting.
After retiring from South Carolina in 2004, Holtz joined the team at ESPN as an analyst.
Holtz was a regular on the late-night highlight show, "College Football Final," the perfect show for the former coach to showcase his knowledge of the game.
ABC57's Dante Stanton sat down with ESPN's Rece Davis, a colleague of Holtz', who also grew to become close, personal friends with him over the years.
Our team also spoke with legendary Irish broadcaster, Bob Nagle, who shared more on what Holtz was like with the media.
Both long-time broadcasters shared their best memories of Coach Holtz, and what lessons they learned from the football veteran over the years.
