Record show back for another spin in Benton Harbor

Southwest Michigan Record Show

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- The Southwest Michigan Record Show will return to Benton Harbor on Saturday at Grand Upton Hall at Lake Michigan College Mendel Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees have the option of early entry at 8:30 a.m. for $5 per person, while admission is free during the event's regular hours.

Organizers say there will be music vendors from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and more.

There will be over 50 tables with thousands of music items, including pre-owned LPs, new LPs, 45s, CDs, cassettes, record supplies, and more.

"This is a fairly new show to a region filled with great record shows, but we continue to build awareness about this event and hope to build on the momentum of our first two years," event organizer Jeremy D. Bonfiglio said. "Whether you are new to vinyl or have been collecting for decades, you will feel right at home at this event. We are all music fans. Our vendors get as excited as the customers when they find a record they've been searching for or discover music they didn't even know they needed. For us, that's the best feeling."

Attendees can expect to find many genres of music, including classic rock, pop, metal, punk, prog rock, 80s music, blues, jazz, R&B, soul, country, soundtracks and more.

The Jalapeño Grill food truck from Berrien Springs will also be set up outside the venue.

There will be door prize drawings held at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Customers can win shopping certificates and record products from BCW Supplies.

Organizers say cash is the preferred form of payment, but select vendors may also accept PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, credit, and debit cards.
