The first half of today will be calm and partly cloudy with highs making it to the mid 80s as a warm front lifts south of us. This front will bring in warmer air and moisture, setting up an ideal environment for thunderstorms later tonight. We likely see storms enter from the west this evening, right now around 7-8PM. Some storms may be strong to severe, but that depends on how much sunshine and moisture is available today. The main concerns will be damaging winds and heavy rain, but hail is possible too. Thunderstorms last through midnight, tapering off early Saturday morning around 4-5AM with some showers lingering until later in the morning. Tomorrow will otherwise be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 70s, likely our only quiet day of the entire holiday weekend. More potential for severe weather arrives on Sunday with rain and scattered thunderstorms expected for a bulk of the day; no types of threats are off the table. Showers last into Monday and the first half of Tuesday, but we dry out later next week.
Today: Evening thunderstorms. High 86.
Tonight: Scattered thunderstorms. Low 62.
Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 73.
Sunday: Thunderstorms. High 79.
