Protestors and counter protestors rally in Niles
NILES, Mich. -- Protestors and counter protestors rallied in Niles once again today, outside the office of Republican Congressman Tim Walberg.
The 'Coalition For Democracy' says they are focused on President Donald Trump's tariffs and what they call stock manipulation.
Counter protestors say they are using this opportunity to support President Trump, Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, and elected Republicans.
"We try to bring a different issue to the public's awareness. Today, it's mostly about tariffs, and to make sure that people understand that a tariff is a tax that the American taxpayer pays," stated Karen Kemp.
Carla Johnson goes on to state, "They're doing what we elected them to do. And we saw that week after week, the Democrats are coming out here on Mondays to devastate all the things that we're trying to do to make America great again. "
Both sides of the political argument making their voices heard every first and third Monday of the month, with protests being held across the country over the weekend.
