Praxis Landmark Recovery must have all patients out by August 17

State health officials have ordered Praxis landmark Recovery to transfer or discharge all of its patients in Mishawaka, Fort Wayne and Carmel by August 17.

The deadline was set after the state revoked the licenses at all three facilities on Thursday, July 27.

The troubled drug rehab facility in Mishawaka had two people die from overdoses in July, and a third who died from an apparent suicide.

There have also been numerous reports of other overdoses and problems.

Earlier this week nine patients filed a lawsuit against Praxis that claims they sustained serious injuries because of medical malpractice and negligence.
