Potawatomi Zoo opens April 2

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Potawatomi Zoo announced today that the zoo will open for the season on April 2.

The zoo will maintain regular hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until October 31. During the summer, from June 1 to August 31, hours will be extended from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This season, facilities that were closed in the 2020 season will be reopened, including the Learning Center and auxiliary bathrooms. A new quiet room for nursing will also open in the Learning Center.

The Potawatomi Zoo Express Train and Endangered Species Carousel will also be open this season. Tickets for both attractions are $3 per ticket.

Visitors will also get to see the Zoo’s new animals, including sand cats, genets, and two new sloths.
