Michigan Street reopens after gas leak

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The South Bend Police Department evacuated an area around Michigan Street and Ewing Avenue due to a gas leak at a house.
Police say they arrived to the area of Michigan and Ewing around 9 a.m. for reports of a gas leak.
NIPSCO was on scene to assist with the gas leak.
Michigan Street was reopened to traffic just before 10 a.m.
