ELKHART, Ind. – Ninety-four catalytic converters were stolen from a plant in Elkhart over the holidays, the Elkhart Police Department reported.
At 7:07 a.m. on January 3, an officer was called to a plant in the 900 block of C.R. 1 for a theft report.
The plant manager said the plant had shut down for the holidays at around 2:30 p.m. on December 23.
At 5:45 a.m. on January 3, someone discovered a hole had been cut in the chain-link fence near a field where chassis are kept.
One of the employees counted the missing catalytic converters and discovered 94 had been stolen, according to reports.
No arrests have been made at this time.
This incident is still under investigation.
