The severe weather is over for Michiana in the forecast, but now our area is bracing for extreme heat this weekend. Temperatures will build themselves up over the next several days, starting today in the upper 70s with gradually sunnier skies as the day progresses. A few showers are possible this morning, but impacts are near zero. After bottoming out in the low 60s tonight, our high temperatures rebound back to the mid 80s on Friday. A ridge is setting in across the Great Lakes, allowing the heat and humidity to skyrocket Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. All three days will feature plentiful sunshine, temperatures in the low to mid 90s, and heat indices that make temperatures feel like our area is in the triple digits.
Today: Partly cloudy. High 80.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 63.
Friday: Partly cloudy. High 85.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. High 92.
