Penn Township Fire Department: John Snyder MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Penn Township Fire Department announced Tuesday morning that Assistant Fire Chief John Snyder has passed away.
The department wrote in part, "John served our community with honor, dedication, and a true servant’s heart. Please keep his family, friends, and our department in your thoughts during this difficult time. Rest easy, Chief. We have it from here."
In the 1990s Snyder was also a feature reporter and later an assignment editor for WSBT.
