CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the intersection of M-60 and Daily Road in Jefferson Township around 6 a.m., Wednesday, for a two-vehicle crash.

Authorities determined 22-year-old John Handlang, of Coloma, was traveling north on Daily Road when he passed a stop sign before entering the intersection.

A woman traveling west on M-60 then collided with Handlang, leaving her and her 9-month-old passenger injured

The woman and child were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.

This crash remains under investigation.
