ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- Candidates running for the new 38th District addressed their possible constituents at an open forum at Shadowland Ballroom on Thursday evening.
The district, created through Michigan’s independent redistricting commission, is an open seat to be filled by one of five candidates: Joey Andrews (D-St. Joseph), Annie Brown (D-South Haven), George Lucas (R-Harbert), Troy Rolling (R-Benton Harbor), and Kevin Whiteford (R-South Haven).
Since there is no incumbent candidate, this particular race is expected to be one of the most contentious in the state.
