NILES, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's office responded to a two-vehicle crash at approximately 4:55 pm Friday evening. The crash occurred at the intersection of Yankee St. and Huntly Rd, in Niles Howard Township. 

The investigation shows that the driver of the first vehicle was driving west bound on Yankee St. when the second vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to the first vehicle. The second vehicle was attempting to turn left onto Yankee St. from Huntly when the crash occurred. 

The driver of the first vehicle was transported by ambulance to Lakeland Niles Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. 

All parties were wearing their seatbelts.
