One injured after vehicle strikes tree

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – One man was injured near the intersection of Dutch Settlement and Gards Prairie Road after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree Saturday morning.
Cass County Deputies say at approximately 6:11 a.m., 32-year-old Darren Gearhart of Marcellus was traveling west on Dutch Settlement when his vehicle left the roadway and stuck the tree.
Gearheart was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment of his injuries.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this crash.
