One Buchanan holding October 8 forum on disability, impairment

BUCHANAN, Mich. - One Buchanan is hosting a forum on disability and impairment on October 8 at the Buchanan Area Senior Center.
The forum will be held in person and over Facebook Live from 2 to 4 p.m.
It will also be recorded for those who cannot make it.
A panel of experts and those living with disabilities will present during the forum.
Panelists include:
- Cindy Gray with the Disability Network of Southwest Michigan will discuss what the organization has to offer to the public
- Kandice Kolberg from Berrien RESA will talk about her work with the visually impaired
- Dr. Robert Gross, a music composer, will talk about his experience working in music therapy and helping those with Autism
- Anne Reed, One Buchanan Board member, will discuss her experience as a stroke survivor
- Lisa Doll, a member of One Buchanan, will share her experience of living with a prosthetic
The panel will be moderated by Dr. Harvey Burnett of Andrews University.
The forum is made possible by the Board and volunteers with One Buchanan as well as the Berrien Community Foundation's For Good Grant.
One Buchanan is an organization that promotes diversity awareness through various programs.
The Buchanan Area Senior Center is located at 810 Rynearson St. in Buchanan.
