NILES, Mich. -- The YMCA of Greater Michiana will assume operation of the Montessori Program at Northside Child Development Center, in partnership with Niles Community Schools, beginning this fall.

Northside, which houses the YMCA’s Child Care Network and GSRP Preschool, will continue to serve local families under the YMCA’s expanded management. The Montessori program, active since 2013, will maintain its core structure while incorporating additional support services.

“This transition supports the continued availability of Montessori education while aligning with our mission in early childhood development,” said Dr. Zechariah Hoyt, executive director of youth development at the YMCA.

Families can expect a seamless transition, with Niles Community Schools staff remaining involved in curriculum and operations.
