Tyrese Jackson, 19, was arrested on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness with a firearm. He is accused of firing shots at a vehicle with people inside.
When police responded to the first shooting, which happened just before 9 p.m. Wednesday night, they found an 18-year-old with gunshot wounds inside one of the apartment’s buildings.
Though Jackson was arrested in connection with the first shooting, he wasn’t arrested in connection with the 18-year-old's injuries specifically.
While officers were investigating the first shooting, dispatch got a call about a second shooting nearby, just after 11 p.m.
In that shooting, a 26-year-old man was injured.
The victims of both shootings were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The 18-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the 26-year-old suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
